Comments from Auntof6[change source]

As requested, here are comments from me on how to improve this article:

When using the same ref for several things in a row, the ref tag doesn't have to be after every one of them. For example, in the paragraph about his marriages, it would be enough to put it just at the end. Same for the paragraph about the daughters and some other places.

The info about recording children's stories doesn't fit in the "Personal life" section -- it's a career thing, not a personal life thing.

Within each paragraph, it's better to refer to the subject by name when first mentioned. For the rest of the paragraph, you'd usually use a pronoun (in this case, "he"), but that depends on the length and composition of the paragraph.

The table in the Movies section has an unused column on the right-hand side -- can we figure out how to remove it?

The phrase "in his whole career" can be left out.

Some words that are complex or that could be said more simply: debut, reprised, big-screen

I noticed the dates are day-first instead of month-first like the original enwiki article. We should probably keep them as day-first since this is a British topic.

When talking about acting roles, I think "played" is simpler than "appeared as".

Use past tense -- in at least one place, the article is in present tense.

"Pleasence's acting career ended when he died in 1995." Ya think? ;) This should be reworded, replaced with something different, or maybe even left out.

"Such as" doesn't mean what most people think it does. Replace it with something like "including" or "for example"

German is a dab page -- change this to the appropriate meaning

Did you know that his daughter Angela was also an actress? She's mainly known for playing Catherine Howard in The Six Wives of Henry VIII (the series with Keith Michell). I'm not saying this should be mentioned, it's just an interesting fact.

That's what I see right off the bat. --Auntof6 (talk) 08:58, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
