Introduction paragraph

Doutor is Japanese retail company that deals with coffee.
Doutor Coffee Co., Ltd. was established in 1962 as a wholesale business to roast coffee beans, and it opened a branch coffee shop after conversion to a stock company. Now Doutor has 1,111 shops in and out of Japan by having been pushed on franchising. Coffee selling prices are set cheaper than other major coffee chains.

Corporate philosophy

Doutor has the brand philosophy “Become blighty after Doutor”. It was made from the feeling that they want customers to become cheerful. They have a big goal that they vitalize Japan as a whole by improving service and brushing store environments up.


Dedicate to taste

Doutor has 3 steps relating to quality. 

First, Doutor imports green coffee beans that meet criteria from all over the world. They buy specific coffee beans from farms that cultivate the same plantation and same taste. After that they roast ordering coffee beans on a trial basis, and check the taste. They repeat tasting while requesting several times. Finally only high quality beans that are selected carefully are carried to the roasting factory. Second, they stick to blending. We can make various flavors by blending coffee beans that have different features. As a way of this, there are pre-mix and after-mix. Doutor mainly uses pre-mix that blend in the state of green coffee beans before roasting. It needs high level skills to roast each unique flavor at the same time, but finally they harmonize mildly. Third, Doutor introduced a made-to-order system to offer coffee in the best conditions. They roast as much as needed depending on the sales quantity of each store, so it has not pre-made at all. Coffee that has passed for 2-3 days from roasting is in the best condition, so they stick to the shipping date. Additionally they go through to abandon coffee that passed 30 minutes from dripping. Doutor keeps trying to be satisfied customers.

Doutor will release on 14th January “Milano sandwich Stewed beef & Camembert cheese ~served with red wine source~.

This sandwich images “Stewed beef” that we want to eat in winter. It’s mixed camembert cheese to beef that is stewed using red wine. It is added color by putting broccoli, cherry tomato and red onion to the potato gratin base. There are black peppers in the sandwich as an accent of taste. It's a milano sandwich with plenty of umami.
