Picture in natural habitat?[change source]

for example this picture

Hello, I know that D. melanogaster is a model organism when it comes to studying genetics/inheritance. Nevertheless, would it make sense to have a picture of a 'fruit fly' in its 'natural habitat' (which likely isn't the lab)? - I don't know some fruit, with one or more flies? - Just an idea...--Eptalon (talk) 13:44, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like the two illustrations on the page. Believe me, you don't want to know about differences between species... I still remember the shock a friend had when he came to describe closely related species of spiders. Turned out they could only be distinguished by the lock-and-key mechanisms of their genital apparatus. The average person cannot see the differences between species of related small insects. Anyway, I'll add the only one we have on WP. Macdonald-ross (talk) 14:19, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've put it up, but I think it's a difference species. Macdonald-ross (talk) 14:28, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I am no Lord of the Flies, but I think the image we have all at the bottom ('fly on a leaf') is a good start.... --Eptalon (talk) 17:08, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
