Do we have to have the slang list? It's embarrasing, I don't think we need to go down to that sort of level. Archer7 14:02, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't seem particularly necessary to me. Freshstart 22:48, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, this is Simple English, meaning children might visit it. They don't need to know offensive words like "s***" --Purple Hill 05:54, 6 July 2006 (UTC).[reply]

it doesnt matter if its offensive, i sure used the words s*** and f*** and b***** a lot when I was in kindergarten, besides this is not a childrens wikipedia, this is a simple wikipedia, ignorant people or those with little english knowledge might only know the word shit or might not know of the synonyms, it should stay, wikipedia is not censored and most kids know what a threeway is nowadays, and i dont know anyone who didnt know what shit ment when i was young, offensive or not is a POV, some people might say there shouldnt be an article on gay people since that might be offensive to chiuldren, in fact its offensive to millions around the world, albeit unfortunate, its the truth, we cant eliminate offense bcuz people are easyly offended by anything. please add ᐊᖏᐋᕐᓂᖅ/angiaarniqiu:ᐊᖏᐋᕐᓂᖅ/angiaarniq, ᐊᖏᐋᕐᓂᖅ/angiaarniq http://iu.wikipedia.org/wiki/ᐊᖏᐋᕐᓂᖅ/angiaarniq

At a minimum, poo should be listed in the first sentence as a synonym. It is a valid word and redirects to this page. It is more likely to be used by speakers of simple English than "feces". Poo is not offensive slang since it is widely used by parents and caregivers when speaking to young children. Also may want to list poop, poopie or kaka. It is really quite silly to block this page. Doesn;t that go against the idea of an open encyclopedia that "anyone" can edit. Clearly some control freak needs to get over their hangups. 72.225.42.91 02:57, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In simple English, poo is the most correct term. Everything else should redirect to that. The next best choices would be poop and shit. In no way is feces a simple English term!!! Unless there is some policy to list non-simple synonyms, perhaps with links to en.wikipedia.org articles, feces should be left off the page entirely. 72.40.45.79 (talk) 15:50, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
To be honest, feces is actually pretty simple. Both of the words that you have mentioned have already been created and redirected. Cheers, Razorflame 15:52, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Feces is the scientific term. There's no other way of putting it. All the other words are slang. Majorly (talk) 16:02, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK,if you cussed in kindergarten, then you have terrible parents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I did't know some of those words untill 6th grade! All I said in kindergarten was stupid. The first cuss word I knew was jack *beep*.And that was in 3th grade.s*** I didn't know untill 4th grade. And yes, feces is the scientific word.It might be hard for the little ones. They should know poo or poop.Cuss words should be illegal!I wish they were.Better yet,I wish they wern't even invented.I also hate slang.Especially internet slang.By the way, what's kaka and threeway mean? 68.220.162.180 (talk) 20:33, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kaka is yet another "poo" synonym. I wonder if "threeway" even has an article here... I think the lists of slang for "feces" should be in the article, but not in a list. That just seems too obnoxious. Tezkag72 22:26, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Needs No Proving[change source]

I noticed that the following line is noted as "Needs Proving": Feces are known for their unpleasant odor and brown color." There comes a point where that's just not necessary, no matter how you look at it. Everybody Poops, right? so everybody is already in agreeance with the common color and odor. Besides, who's the lucky scientist that's going to conduct a survey demonstrating what people commonly associate with feces? I'll opt out of that one (unless there's a rediculous government grant associated with the study). A quick search online does produce a textbook by Charles Edmond Simon that discusses the odor and color of poop on page 204: http://books.google.com/books?id=QOwRAAAAYAAJ&lpg=PA204&ots=3RrQBzCRNF&dq=feces%20studies%20odor%20color&pg=PA204#v=onepage&q=&f=false 205.56.129.194 (talk) 03:39, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Dave Johnson[reply]

Then add it! Griffinofwales (talk) 04:12, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Human Feces[change source]

Is it necessary to provide a photograph of human feces in this article? I think those of a horse should suffice.

This wiki should not exist![change source]

I don't think they should of made this page because it is so gross. It would be better if they didn't have pictures, or at least cartoon pictures. I wish they would just delete this page! I hope we don't have to look it up at school.

Needs more med info[change source]

There is no information on how it is formed. We should add that.

Protect page to prevent vandalism[change source]

Necessary as people think this is an amusing topic and tend to vandalise it (see editing history). FrançaisauNord (talk) 19:42, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
