Response to Quick Deletion Request[change source]

@Prahlad balaji:Hello, this is from the initial writer. I have tried to simplify the sentences and words. If there is any place that needs additional simplification, tell me and I will react immediately. This is not a copy of the jawiki version (it does not include topics about amateur tournaments). MathXplore (talk) 00:58, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@MathXplore: For one thing, you should always attribute on the talk page of an article you have translated from another Wikipedia. I have done this above. IWI (chat) 01:23, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ignore above comment. I see you did it in the edit summary. Sorry. IWI (chat) 01:25, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MathXplore, it seems you have not simplified it enough. ~Prahlad balaji (t / c) (remember to {{ping}} me) |email me/talk page 03:07, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Prahlad balaji:, I fixed the background section again and the student competition section. How does it look for you? MathXplore (talk) 03:43, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
MathXplore, consider this request as  Done. It seems to meet inclusion standards. Best, ~Prahlad balaji (t / c) (remember to {{ping}} me) |email me/talk page 03:47, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

QD declined[change source]

Reason: I think most student competitions cannot be automatically notable, so it's right the article is considered. I don't think this makes a good case for notability, though it is unusual. Hence decline QD. Macdonald-ross (talk) 05:16, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I note the lack of parallel with chess, where two generations ago there were no female grandmasters, and the so-called female GM level was, and is, significantly lower than the male standard. The whole issue is significant and interesting because in other walks of life (e.g. Nobel Prizes) women do reach the top (though not in large numbers). A person might think that physical sports differences between the sexes is to be expected on account of the differences in body structure between the sexes, but arguably that should not hold for mental competitions. Macdonald-ross (talk) 05:55, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Macdonald-ross: The QD was not for notability. It was A3 (complex article from another Wikipedia). IWI (chat) 05:56, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I won't rule on that basis. Macdonald-ross (talk) 06:00, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Macdonald-ross: Thank you for your opinion. I'm sorry that I don't know well about chess. Instead of chess, I added a parallel with shogi. MathXplore (talk) 10:17, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
