Talk:First Emperor of China

I am not able to move this page. (It may be that one needs a certain number of edits here to do so.) All the same, this page should be at First Emperor, the First Emperor, First Emperor of China, the First Emperor of China, or some other name like that using "Qin", "the Qin", or "the Qin Dynasty". The English names are at least as common as the Chinese and it is much simpler than "Qin Shi Huang", "Shih Huang-ti", or any of the 8000+ other possible names.LlywelynII (talk) 13:21, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like I can do it now. Will do. — LlywelynII 14:09, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

On 16 April 2017, User:TDKR Chicago 101 unilaterally blanked this page and began a lousier clone at the misspelling "Qin Shi Huang". (A) This is the Simple Wikipedia and we should just use the guy's common and easily understandable English name rather than his most common Chinese name, which regular Wikipedia uses for scholarly reasons. The pages were at this name for years and moved without discussion or even rationale. (B) At bare minimum, even if we were to copy Wiki's unfortunate Chinese, the pages' editing history and content should be fully merged, rather than the hatchet job that happened. — LlywelynII 07:20, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
