Date of Chopin's birth[change source]

The latest edition of Groves Dictionary of Music and Musicians confirms that the mystery remains. According to the register of births he was born on 22 February. However, Chopin and some of his friends always gave his birth as 1 March. So there we are. Maybe he was baptised on 1 March and considered that day to be his proper "birthday"?Hikitsurisan 12:51, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Such laws were undoubtedly different back then. Many people left home at much younger ages. Also, "21" isn't considered underage everywhere. Kansan (talk) 21:31, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
not underage, think first about how things work here vs there... it was in regards to travel, certain countries to this day have it!
Do you have a citation for your claim? Kansan (talk) 21:56, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
