Some inaccuracies[change source]

This article is slightly inaccurate for a number of reasons. Those listed below are the main ones in my opinion:
1. The German Confederation rather replaced the Confederation of the Rhine than the Holy Roman Empire
2. The German Confederation was not only created to save the German states from French aggression, but also e.g. to prevent future revolutions and to prevent the creation of a German nation state (already kind of implied by the sentence "The problem was that the Congress did not want to make them too strong, or they'd start taking over other countries", but this should be made clearer)
3. The number of German states was already reduced to 39 by the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss, i.e. under Napoleon
I don't have the necessary sources ready to change these points and I'm not yet familiar enough with the Simple English Wikipedia, but maybe someone else is able to tackle these issues. --MaRaViN26 (talk) 16:23, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
