Background?[change source]

This article is not a summary of the Harry Potter series. The "Background" section should not be there. --Isis§(talk) 14:21, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i read the plot and i dont know what happen to hagrid in the seventh book, so some body tell me please ?

Wikipedia isn't a forum to discuss the article's subject. :) If you want to find out, you can go to a fan site. --Isis§(talk) 17:23, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Isis, I don't get what you meant about the background section. Could you please describe your idea in more details? - Huji reply 17:50, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think Isis means this. Oysterguitarist 18:07, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A complete background of the series should be in the main article and not here, but certain parts of the background (a short outline with a link to the main background) would be acceptable to help set up the explanation of how ongoing themes in the series are dealt with in this particular book. Amandajm removed all of her edits to this and several others of the series after this discussion took place. I reverted those changes completely to the other two (books 1 and 2) and partially reverted them here (cutting out the extended storyline/background intro). The section has a lot of information and is need of cleanup, simplification, and wikifying to get it up to standards, but I think do to the amount of info, it may be best for the article to re-include it and hope someone gets the time and motivation to continue the work. There is also issues with NPOV and Original Research that may need to be dealt with on all three articles. -- Creol(talk) 10:09, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of Deaths[change source]

the new list of the death persons is really good.

There was a discussion about a table on enWP, and I think the same applies here. If the summary is well-written, it should include the deaths, which would make the list useless. Guideline: If information can be put in prose, don't make it into a list. I've hidden the section instead of outright deleting because I wanted to confirm that I'm not the only person that feels this way. --Isis§(talk) 13:40, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Themes and Summary[change source]

I wrote them. They have been carefully written in order not to reveal any specific details of the plot. I do not want my writing associated with a list of people who died. This only serves as a spoiler and does not give any useful information to a reader of the book. I am frankly surprised that the list has been permitted to stay there so long.

However, since it is there, I will continue to delete what I myself have written. If you want a reason, then you must accept the fact that MY summary is bbased on Personal Research and the themes that I have stated are purely POV.
