The curse of "NPOV"[change source]

Holocaust denial is not a "point of view". It is a distortion of well-established facts and a twisted belief that is held only by racists (see "Denying the Holocaust: the Growing Assault on Truth and Memory" by Deborah Lipstadt). This brief article makes it seem as though Holocaust denial is just another opinion, even if it is a weird one. It is much, much worse than that.

I respectfully ask that people watching this article keep edits that expose Holocaust denial for what it really is - an insidious method for anti-Semites to have a forum in academia. — This unsigned comment was added by 165.230.110.178 (talk • changes) on 15:38, 15 December 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Thank you for your comments. As with all articles, a completely neutral point of view must be adhered to. In such a case as this topic we, meaning Wikipedia, could not describe the topic as "an insidious method for anti-Semites to have a forum in academia" as this would mean that Wikipedia is taking that stance. What we can, and must do, is to include information about such opinions. So we could cite a reliable secondary source that says something like, "[so-and-so] have described Holocaust denial as 'an insidious method for anti-Semites to have a forum in academia'." If you can provide such reliable, independent, neutral sources that have expressed such an opinion then you can feel free to add that those sources state that Holocaust denial is believed by them to be such. Hope this helps. :) fr33kman 16:59, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

External link removed[change source]

I deleted the link to the Norway neo-Nazi site. I don't think it is right to send our readers to hate sites. Jeffpw 13:38, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is Holocaus denial true?[change source]

This section in the article is very badly written, and needs a complete rewrite. If we are talking about denial, statements like "hisotrians agree that it did ont happen" are pointless. What we can say is perhaps that "Many historians say that...", but even then we need to make a difference between accounts/publications given ot about 1955 (or of people who were eyewittnesses), as in "primary sources", and those that have been done later, or that are based on other material ("secondary sources"). In any case, needs a rewrite. Perhaps also notable: In the Arab world/Middle East holocaust denial is not punishable, and often used as a political means to reach a goal... --Eptalon (talk) 22:12, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
