John or Jonathan?[change source]

This article is supposed to be a translation of version 655741805 of en:John de Lancie. That article begins:

"John de Lancie (born March 20, 1948) is an American actor, producer, musician, and writer. ...
"De Lancie was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, ...."

—no mention of "Jonathan" (and no mention of "stand-up comedian").

The biography section of his own website http://delancie.com/about/ shows:

"John de Lancie is an american actor, director, producer, writer, voice artist and musician. ...
"He was born on March 20, 1948, ...."

—no mention of "Jonathan".

This article was created by User:70.190.228.32. I believe that the IP is really MisterAnthony. That user is globally locked; he uses various IPs to evade the block. The IPs belong to Cox Communications. They have block names like NETBLK-PH-RDC-... and NETBLK-PH-RDC-....

MisterAnthony writes as though John were just a short form for Jonathan. That is wrong, of course—see the wiktionary entries John and Jonathan. MisterAnthony has changed John to Jonathan in small articles on many small wikis. See en:Talk:John de Lancie for more information.

I will fix the name in this article—Tortoise0308 (talk) 18:02, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
