The complex words[change source]

Before I can simplify, I've gotta know how complex this article is, and what are complex words on it. Angela Maureen (talk) 19:15, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

My comments:
  • complex words and phrases: stance, community (in this context), equality rights, visibilities/visibility, celebrates, diversity
  • Second paragraph, first sentence: split into two sentences -- one about things that are built, and one about what it increases.

I've got certain complex wording taken out. Also, split up second paragraph to two sentences. Angela Maureen (talk) 21:08, 26 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've struck out the parts above that were taken care of. Please keep the discussion here and not on my talk page. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:09, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How could I reword the remainder of the article? Angela Maureen (talk) 00:13, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
First, understand what the complex words mean. Then think about how to say what the sentences mean, but in simpler words. Try thinking about how you would talk to a small child, or someone who was just starting to learn English. If you have trouble with that, maybe you should try a different article. --Auntof6 (talk) 06:24, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Took out celebrate, diversity, stance and simplified the wording or used alternate words. Should it be simple now? Angela Maureen (talk) 11:35, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think that Gay pride is simple enough right now for its own page? Angela Maureen (talk) 23:08, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There's still a complex word to take care of.
By the way, when you reply on a talk page, your reply should not be indented the same amount as what you're replying to. You would usually indent one level more. --Auntof6 (talk) 02:56, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I took visibility out; anything else complex? Angela Maureen (talk) 10:48, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Do you think that Gay pride is simple enough for its mainspace? Angela Maureen (talk) 22:14, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It looks OK now. I'll move it back. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:08, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
