Is this text original enough? If so, what can we add to it?
[change source]This is my first article, so i wanted to know if the text was original enough for the article. I checked on a plagiarism checker, and it only pointed to my own article, meaning it was not plagiarised from anyone except myself, but i still want to make sure its original. If so, we should find what we can add to it. However, do note that, due to the brief nature of the text, im unsure of its current use elsewhere.Cramamon (talk) 21:14, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- Please note that the text im reffering to is the original text of this article. All subsequent edits by other editors are not what im talking about, only the original baseline text i wrote. Cramamon (talk) 21:15, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, it looks original enough. There's a lot of things you could add, like when and why it was made, how big it is, what it's used for, what lives in it, and if any rivers flow in or out. Also you could add a photo or map. Lights and freedom (talk) 21:17, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- Oh, thank you. At the moment i dont have time to add them, but maybe i or someone else will write something in future. I'm also wondering what is considered "Simple" English. Cramamon (talk) 21:18, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Cramamon: The basic ideas of Simple English are using simple words and writing simple sentences.
- You can use the Basic English combined wordlist, or the Special English word book. I think the second one is easier to use because it's more modern.
- This explains how to write simple sentences: Wikipedia:How to write Simple English pages#Simple_sentence_structure
- You can look at good articles and very good articles for examples, such as Yellowstone National Park, Lawrence, Kansas, and Megadeth.
- And if you have more questions about this, you can also ask on Simple talk, and other people might respond. Lights and freedom (talk) 21:29, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. So far it seems that the article is considered "Simple English". But i still have a question: "Artificial Lake", "Man-made Lake", and "Reservoir" are three words meaning almost the same thing. Which one is better in this case? Cramamon (talk) 21:32, 1 June 2023 (UTC)

How do I make this appear in the language tab of other versions of this article? (This has already been done, this post is now irrelevant)
[change source]This article is in Simple English, yet it does not appear in the language tab of the English Wikipedia article. Similarly, the article has no languague tab itself. Cramamon (talk) 21:46, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
