Actually, the referenced source article says "Although in North America the last call bell is not the norm, in Britain it is absolutely everywhere.", altho' since the article is from Canada it may be used there some. I would suspect that, like many things of British origin, it is more common in Commonwealth (and former Commonwealth) countries than in the US and other countries. Maybe only in 'British pub'-style bars in the US (and maybe Irish and other UKish), etc.? Freshstart 21:38, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
