VGA review[change source]

lead
  • Critics thought Nijinsky did more posing than dancing. - Who is that Nijinsky? The man who was responsible for the drop?

 Done

Background
  • Both were great successes. - That needs a reference.
  • He hoped that... - Also needs a reference.
  • It was one of six new ballets for 1911. - Does that mean that world-wide only six new ballets were planned for 1911? That would surprise me. A reference would be good.

 Done

  • He based some of his ideas for the ballet - That needs a reference.
  • Prince Lieven - Who is that? Not worth a link?

 Done Brief explanation for context.

First performance
  • Is that whole section based on the one reference at the end? - If not, the first sentence should be referenced.

 Done Based on one source.

  • Same as Both ballets were failures.

 Done

  • Actually, like every sentence should be referenced if not covered by the reference at the end of the section.

Done Reference at end of section.

  • Quite the same situation for the next section.

 Done

Story of the ballet
  • curtain should be linked.

 Done

  • Also things like snake, ceremony, sky etc.

 Done

  • They lead The Young Man out and ready The Young Girl for death. - While that sentence looks simple, it isn't. The "ready" makes it a bit hard to understand on a first read. Can that be re-phrased?

 Done

  • tames isn't really simple.
  • to drop - I think to go down or something would be simpler.
What people thought about the ballet
  • It has not been staged again. - It has really never ever been staged since then? That is an amazing fact.

Done True, it was only staged a few times.

Can you get for all the books in the references section and further readings section the ISBN number. That would look better. The template at the bottom looks a bit weird. Why do some parts there end with a dot and one not? Is the template not completed yet? If so it should be completed.

Overall a nicely written article. -Barras talk 21:35, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
