I would appreciate it if others could add to this page instead of deleting it. Also, could you tell me why you change it, because it helps learners. Thefartydoctor (talk) 19:13, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article has to be notable to be kept (see Wikipedia:Notability). It is also important to have references (see Wikipedia:References) in the article to prove that it is important to keep. Right now, your article doesn't indicate why it is important to include in the encyclopedia. --cremepuff222 (talk) 19:31, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I get you. I'm just getting to grips with the site. I'll see what I can do. But it can be annoying when you're making stuff and then it vanishes. I'll take a look at that page now. Thanks by the way! Thefartydoctor (talk) 19:40, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hehe, yep. I might also add that it might be a better idea to merge the information in this article with the article for the main television article, The Sarah Jane Adventures. --cremepuff222 (talk) 19:42, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oooh. That sounds like a task and a half. What does that entail? How do I do it? Thefartydoctor (talk) 19:47, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm... does this show have a lot of characters? If so, you might want to create an article like List of Characters in The Sarah Jane Adventures. In the article you could include information on each specific character, and also a section just for these star poets. --cremepuff222 (talk) 19:50, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
(Here is an example of what I'm talking about: List of characters in Pirates of the Caribbean) --cremepuff222 (talk) 19:51, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. They did that on the English Wiki. I'd better get started then, hadn't I? Thefartydoctor (talk) 19:53, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hehe, if you would like. :) I'll help you get started. I'm going to move this page to the list page, and we can go from there. --cremepuff222 (talk) 19:54, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This is better already. Thanks. I'm gonna keep updating it. What dyou think so far?Thefartydoctor (talk) 19:57, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It looks nice. :) It would be helpful to add a leading paragraph at the beginning of the article, something like "this is a list of characters in the Sarah Jane adventures"). --cremepuff222 (talk) 19:59, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, when you do hyperlinks, how do I hyperlink 'Maria Jackson' to a section I'm gonna create in a min? You know, a section within an article. Thefartydoctor (talk) 20:01, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
To link to an article, you just enclose the page you want to link to in square brackets, like this: Page name --cremepuff222 (talk) 20:03, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I get that bit, but lets say that I don't just want to link to List of Characters in The Sarah Jane Adventures but I want to link to Maria Jackson within that page. What would I do? Thefartydoctor (talk) 20:05, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I understand you now. To link to a specific section, syntax is: Page name#Section heading. This is an example. --cremepuff222 (talk) 20:08, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I see. Thanks. It's just that I needed to link Maria somewhere and now I know where I can link her. Thefartydoctor (talk) 20:11, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Close! Maria Jackson would format the link like this: Maria Jackson, which I think is what you are trying to do. Normally we don't link to subsections within the article, so I wouldn't bother with that link. However, if you write another article that talks about Maria Jackson, you could use the link there. --cremepuff222 (talk) 20:16, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
So I've done it right here then- Invasion of the Bane? Thefartydoctor (talk) 20:18, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yep. :) You may want to consult the Manual of Style as you are writing these articles. For example, you normally only include a link to another article one time in the entire article. --cremepuff222 (talk) 20:24, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
