What is the reason to put different ranks to the popes who reigned the same amount of days? "Popes with the shortest reigns" has #9 with as much days than #8 and #11 same as #10. Shouldn't that be two #8's and two #10's? If not, there should be an explanation why the other is higher... 91.152.32.181 (talk) 19:12, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that our article, (as well as two other language versions I looked at) have these in date order also. The earlier years of reign are before the later. Even if the format was changed to a table or bullet points, this would still be the style. (both French and Spanish versions use a table). Having two numbers the same would be entirely confusing.
