Moved to discussion[change source]

Arguably not a scientist

Then you need to edit his article to reflect your personal opinion of the matter. Which would likely be reverted if it is noticed as it is against the accepted consensus of the term scientist. As he is listed as an Argentine scientist, and you push to close discussions about what defines a scientist rather than work to find some consensus, he is as qualified for this list as someone who as never worked in a scientific field (another questionable criteria which is up for debate but you continuously push to include without consensus currently). If consensus decides either or both qualify, so be it. It is not up to any one person, let alone me or you, to decide, it is up everyone.
You felt the need to remove one name while complaining that another name was removed for pretty much the same reason. Neither were clear cut options and the matter needed to be discussed. Unlike you, I am not whining about this removal. It is a questioned addition to the list so it is best to discuss if it should be included. Under the currently accepted use of the term scientist, members of most of the "sciences" fit = physical sciences, theoretical sciences and social sciences are in. Political sciences seem to be out. Personally, I think social sciences should also be out but that is just my person belief. Without consensus to support it. it is not something I cam toss around like its not POV pushing.
Wikipedia is about working together to create an encyclopedia. We may not always agree about how best to do that. We may push and guide to try and get things to be the way we think they should be, but in the end we have to accept that this is not always going to work out how we think it should. In the end, we need to either work under the policies the group defines or walk away. If you can not function as part of the team, it is in the best interests of all involved if you don't stand in the way of others trying to better the wiki. --Creol(talk) 22:16, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This list was started as a chronological order thingy[change source]

User:Creol has redifined this to be alphabetic order. I expect to be putting it back in chronological order. 89.8.87.64 (talk) 07:15, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

With the exception of by date lists (births, deaths, events, etc) all lists are in alphabetical order to make locating an entry on the list easier for the reader. This list is not Argentine scientists by century/decade/year --Creol(talk) 21:37, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of maintenance tags[change source]

I have replaced the {{fact}} tag to the article which was removed by an IP user. There is no mention in the article here or on En of the person tagged doing any pioneering work in their field. They do work in the field listed, but nothing supports the use of the term pioneer. The removal of a tag without even attempting to address the situation is highly frowned on. --Creol(talk) 21:42, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
