Talk:List of states with limited recognition

I will be editing this list. "Partially unrecognised" should imply a degree of illegitimacy. Thus the Republic of Hawaii should be on the list, as the illegal successor to the legal Kingdom of Hawaii, which should not be on the list.

Simply being "partially-recognised" is too loose a definition, and would include, for example:

As I see it there are two issues with this article. The first, verification, is always with us. The second it that historically almost everywhere has been disputed at some time. It would be best to cut this section about historic unrecognised countries as being a} permanently incomplete and b) largely unverifiable.
