I honestly don't understand this desire to delete articles. Also, what is wrong with taking text from the regular WP? Ask for the article to be improved, fine, but don't propose it for deletion. OnBeyondZebrax (talk) 01:25, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The complaint was that it's been copied from the English Wikipedia with little or no changes made to make it Simple English. We don't host such content, since readers can just use the page on the English Wikipedia if it hosts basically the same content. You've created a fair number of articles in the last 24 hours and most of them are quite complex. If you're brand new to writing in Basic English, it will understandably take some practice to get used to it. The best thing to do would be to slow down and work on simplifying the content that you've already added. Read and make use of some of the aids that are provided for you on your talk page:
Ask for help if you need it. Running some of your content through a readability calculator might help identify whether any of your sentences are too long, but you will need to be conscious of things like cohesion, vocabulary, sentence structure and syntax. When you've done all of this, you should also make sure that you're attributing any translated content to its original authors (conforming with WP:TA). It will take a little while to get used to the policies here. Don't try to bite off more than you can handle. Ask for help if you need it. Osiris (talk) 01:49, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
