What is the policy for taking articles wholesale from the English Wikipedia? It seems to me that the contributions of other editors ought to be mentioned somewhere.Patrick0Moran (talk) 05:39, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In keeping with the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License 3.0 and the GFDL all articles here that are based on articles from the English (or other language) wikipedia should be attributed as such to document its history and a full list of contributers. The templates {{enwp based}} and {{frwp based}} meet the requirements for attribution by stating exactly what history that article has. Either the template is added to the talk page or the change summery on the article should reference exactly where the main source of the article came.
Also note that practically no article here should be taken wholesale from the English wikipedia in the first place as contrary to popular opinion, they are different languages with differences in syntax and grammar that even most native English speakers have extreme difficulty understanding. There are no native speakers of this language although it is understandable by native speakers of English as well as learners of it. 70.184.168.201 (talk) 06:16, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing[change source]

Just as with the English Wik article, this SE Wik article does not have a simple, clear discussion of crab apples. For example, are they edible? where are they native to? as long with appearance and size. THEN you can go into hybrids and technical stuff. 64.53.191.77 (talk) 17:33, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
