Discussions about how to categorize holders of the Victoria Cross and the George Cross have developed ~~here and here~~.

The pattern of diffs here is striking because it is familiar. It is very much like the failed consensus-building above -- compare

In both threads, constructive steps toward consensus were stopped in the same way. This ipse dixit pattern is harmful to our project. It is an 800 lb gorilla and an elephant in the room. --Ansei (talk) 14:30, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
