I have made a lot of changes to this article.

I tried to give it Neutral Point of View NPOV.

This means to be fair and not bias. Signed Fred

(In non simple en.) , This articles content seemed to have dragged into the encyclopedia from a neonazi pov document. This my one assumption. The article contained many. I also removed content such as that referring to millions killed "... in the hope of a greater Germany ..." despite it being attributed to hitler. Also, hitler did not invent the idea, it was around during Weimar and elsewhere.

There is a bit of a pattern to linked articles here and in cat. I will be back with CSB. This is my first edit at simple.en and have to confess my own bias:

  • The concept of races (and racial supremacy) is useless, unless harmful. It has no basis in fact.
  • A racist is someone who believes there is more than one race. It is not a derogatory term, in it self.
  • I wish I had chosen another article halfway through editing this one.
  • I am unable to describe the 'holocaust' in simple english.

This repellent idea deserves careful handling. I think other well intentioned editors have tried fixing this already. Feel free to start my talk page off with a comment or complaint. Fred 11:03, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

German Jews[change source]

The sentence says, "German Jews were forbidden to own property, and were attacked and killed." was this during the Holocaust? or random mob attacks on German Jews? --Yegoyan 03:23, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just a clarification please[change source]

I do not know how to put it; but the total number of those who died in the camps is between about 1 million and about 6 million, depending on who you ask; generally accepted figures today are at 3-4.5 million people; not all of them were Jews; Please also note that the idea of a master race has nothing to do with the holocaust; Therefore I think it would be best to present the idea here, and perhasps have a see also holocaust.. What do you think? --Eptalon (talk) 00:13, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UK: imputing motives[change source]

It is very important to distinguish between actions and motives. It is easy to show that the motive for the UK in respect of its Empire is trade, and nothing but trade except a few instances when diplomatic agreements wee violated. Trade was the source of the country's wealth up to WWI. Individual people no doubt had racial beliefs, but that was in no way responsible for the growth or the behaviour of the Empire. The documents of, for example, House of Commons debates, East India Company, etc., are all public, and have been gone over minutely by historians. This does not excuse any bad behaviour, but just is a fact. Macdonald-ross (talk) 06:39, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
