I have a friend who lives in the city all her life, and she pronounces it like [með̞eˈʒin] 71.178.14.245 (talk) 20:35, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are language variants of the Spanish language; this is a rather common one, people from the americas usually use the ˈʒ' sound where people from Europe don't (and use more of a ji sound..)--Eptalon (talk) 21:50, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
