This article is about a person who is alive, and so it must follow our rules for biographies of living persons. Controversial content about living persons that does not have any sources or is poorly sourced must be removed straight away from the article and its talk page, especially if it harms their reputation. Political position quotation[change source]

Does this really belong here? It doesn't seem to have a context, and seems like it was just included as a quotation to discredit Obama. This is meant to be an encyclopedia article about Michelle Obama, not a context-free collection of negative quotes. Kansan (talk) 03:06, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The quality of writing of this article.[change source]

Why is this article so poorly written? Every sentence is just an exceedingly short statement of little substance, detail or information. Surely there is more to Michelle Obama than this stub of an article would imply. Her early life is almost a complete mystery. Presumably she met Barack before becoming first lady. What is the purpose of "for a long time, she lived in Chicago with her family"?
