Neurogenisis (creation of new neurons) does occur, both in adults and prenatally. I'm changing the article to indicate this.Sxoa (talk) 14:34, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! EhJJTALK 14:51, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if this is doing justice for a Simple English article[change source]

Mitosis is specifically referring to the division of already-replicated chromosomes into two identical sets. The phases describing events of mitosis are prophase, prometaphase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase. This article defines mitosis as "cell division" which is wrong. This article can absolutely retain its simplicity and clarity in English while actually being consistent with its conventionally accepted definition.

The last section on cytokinesis shows that we already understood your point. The problem is all about whether the language is suitable for our readers. I have simplified some of your prose, but it is still very difficult.
What one has to remember is that readers who want a more exact technical description know where they can go to get it. Therefore our version does not have to cover every twist & turn. However, I accept that changes were needed. The description is more accurate now. Macdonald-ross (talk) 08:16, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
