There is a mistake in the section about political parties: it is said that the SP used to be the communist party, while in fact this is Groenlinks. See also http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communistische_Partij_van_Nederland (Dutch). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.168.223.65 (talkcontribs)

I'm afraid I don't speak that language. Anything in English? If not, go ahead and change it.  Hazard-SJ Talk 23:24, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Slavery should be mentioned on this page[change source]

In response to this revert: The Netherlands was a major slave trading power and slave labor was an important part of its empire. Please note that the user who reverted this edit regularly spends time patrolling my edits, arguing that slavery and colonialism are irrelevant on pages where those who are familiar with the topic know they are quite relevant. This patrolling began after a failed attempt to have this page deleted. DoSazunielle (talk) 02:38, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In this case, the extensive enwiki article has two sentences about this topic, discussing when the Netherlands abolished slavery. This information should be added to an article such as Atlantic slave trade, with a more encyclopdic tone. I think there should be a sentence stating when the Netherlands abolished slavery, with a link to the linked page above. Remember, this is the article about the modern country. The history section requires succinct mentions with links to the relevant topics. --IWI (talk) 02:48, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
