Confusing sentence

(The following problem, has been corrected.)

Confusing sentence:

"The parliament is called the Storting (in Norwegian: Stortinget), "

Storting and Stortinget are both Norwegian for Parliament, they are just two forms of the same noun.

Removal of text

This sentence has been removed : "but the country is also very dependent on the prices of oil and fish in international markets."

Overly complicated text.

Removed text :

"constitutional"

("Norway is a constitutional kingdom")

Reason : The sentence is possibly too complicated for Simple English Wiki.

Futhermore, I expect to make a footnote, concerning the sentece. Something along the lines of "The constitution of Norway, is the document that authorized King Haakon. And his successors." As soon as convenient.

It is "enough", for now, to say that :

• The kingdom of Norway ...
• The head of state is King Harald ...

If someone can handle complicated text, then one is likely to be using English wiki, mainly. And Simple wiki, to a lesser degree.

I am not sure if the following is correct :

The sentence probably needs to be re-worded.

In this article things ought to be kept simple, one thinks. ( This phrase "supervises the supervisors", is simple, ( and to the point ).

The "history-paragraph", probably needs to be linked to (unwritten) articles , such as :

Medieval Norway

• 1814-1905
• 1905-1940
• Norway in World War Two
• 1945 to present

Links of this type, should be planned carefully.

Are these links satisfactory?

are alternate names that probably belong in a seperate article.

The section should be updated, with more political parties. Can help anyone whom wants to do it with information about the various parties.

Reason I'm not doing it, is because I don't think I can keep it simple.

Which positions are most important after the prime minister

Someone might want to find sources that say which minister is in the Line of succession after the prime minister.

What should be said about the cultural history

I am not sure how any of these points about Cultural history of Norway should be written into the article:

"Norway also has a rich cultural history, going all the way back to the age of the Vikings, and up to today with several writers and painters. The most famous Norwegian cultural person is probably Henrik Ibsen who wrote several plays and novels, and they often upset people because he challenged popular attitudes such as the role of women.
