Notes for improving this article:

Complex words and phrases that need to be simplified: intentional, commercial, feature, synonymous, emphasize, in preference to, grazed, maintenance, concentrated, climatic extremes, moderated, retarded

Sentences should be shorter, with one idea each. I'll simplify one to give an example.

Sentence as written:

Orchards have fruit, vegetable, and nut-producing trees which are grown for commercial production.

Simplified (not only to shorten, but to use simple words):

Fruits, vegetables, and nuts grow in orchards. They are grown to be sold.

Try not to link to Wiktionary unless absolutely necessary. It's much better to say things in a way that the reader can understand to begin with, without having to go to another page.

I didn't see anywhere that you linked to Wiktionary. I just mentioned that because a lot of editors do that instead of trying to make an article simple on its own.

The article is better, but to me it's still not simple. There are still several complex words. Did you notice the list of them that I gave above? Some of the sentences still could be divided as well.

I did some more work. Look at what I did and see if you understand it. I took out the part about fruit gardens so that the article would be about one thing.
