Yes, I did copy & paste, but I read it and it was in simple, i believe. I have done this 10 times today, and this is the first to come up as QD. I were also told, that I could do this, but I then need to simple it (see my talk page), and it was simple. - Punk Boi 8 07:05, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pop rock[change source]

Pop rock belongs on the genres here: some of their songs have a basic feel and combine rock and pop and paramore has been described as kelly clarksons whildest dreams. they are more pop rock than pop punk, theres certainley more rock than punk in their music. nuff said

Your talking about alternative rock, its a more of a melodic rock you say, thats alternative rock. pop rock is Bryan Adams. --Fell on Black Days (talk) 17:55, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't that a picture from the Vans Warped Tour of 2007? I think the subtitle(?) information is wrong.

Emo/alternative[change source]

This is something that has been bothering me. Paramore is not any more emo than Fall Out Boy (actually, the two bands are very similar). Yet Fall Out Boy is not classified as emo. My Chemical Romance is incredibly stereotypical emo, but it's not even listed as a sub-genre in their infobox. Apparently, just because Gerard Way made some derogatory comments about emo makes the band "post-hardcore" instead of emo.

Paramore might have elements of emo music, but it's definitely not the core genre. They are more alternative rock/pop rock than anything else. No one who uses those riffs could possibly be construed as anything but alternative rock/pop rock (sorry if that sounds biased). I guess you could also consider it pop punk.

Yes, they have association with emo, but it's definitely not worthy of mention in the first line. So yeah...I'm removing emo in the opening line. It doesn't fit. It's misleading and inaccurate. --Isis(talk) 13:45, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agian, I removed the title 'emo' from the opening line. However, two minutes later it is changed back to emo. Could someone describe how they are emo? -AtlantisEndevour

Paramore is NOT emo. The band never labeled themselves as "emo". --§ Snake311 (I'm Not Okay!) 21:10, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Have both - the references show reliable music media publications reffering to them as Emo so that genre should get a mention. What the band wish to label themselves is irrevelant - if they called themselves Death Metal would you put that on? FSM Noodly? 21:18, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
