Talk:Power

Power is the ability to do work. Anything with power has the ability to change the world somehow. For example, a toy with a charged battery will move, thus the world is changed.

I originally wrote: "You have power if you can change the world." If you move your arm, the universe is changed. If you are a lump of mud without power, you can't change anything -- you have no power.

This statement extends to politics, society, etc. E.g., a government with power can enact laws that change peoples' lives. "You have power if you can change yourself" is lame.

Please don't misunderstand. "Changing the world" does not have to mean a giant catastrophe. 194.170.32.252 12:55, 7 November 2006 (UTC) A. Uichanco
