Pulis if possible should not be keept as indoor pets in an appartment.Hungarian dog breds (In Hungarian): [File:Dr. Sárkány Pál - Dr.Ócsag Imre: Magyar kutyafajták, ISBN 963-232-261-4. (Dr. Sárkány Pál - Dr.Ócsag Imre: Hungarian dog breds) ] Pulis are not happy when living in an appartment without a lot of really vigouros exercise. They will became either shy or overactive. They they need to get the kind of exercise they were developed for.History and How to keep. A Puli with no proper excercise can became mischievous [1] Vigorous exercise is recommended. That means running, biking, hiking, jogging and field work, not only a walk around the corner. Pulis are best kept in a house with garden. Citydogs When the Puli has a work to do, than he will show excellent intelligence, strength and ability to work together with humans.

No need to remove this, @Rus793:. Let's not quarell about this. I like you and I liked the way you help out with new articles. Now this Puli ... These dogs were the real working dogs - the breed were herding dogs for hundreds of years - and became "pets" like for ... 50 years ago? They are made to run all day - runnig after the sheep - all day long ... that is pretty hard work, that one.

They are not the easy pets, and writing that If a Puli gets enough exercise it can live in the city, even in apartment - hm, well, this SOUNDS like they are all fine kept in appartments if only they just get a little exercise... well ...

This is not what the Hungarian breed site, Puli owners, breeders and pet-Puli owners say. Also you can reed here - •Vigorous exercise requirements -> http://www.yourpurebredpuppy.com/reviews/pulis.html - vigorous exercise requirements it is, indeed. That means running, biking, hiking, jogging, field work... not a walk around the corner. This has to be written in the article.

Let's say - Cotton de Tulear - now that is different - they are the dogs who DON'T need much exercise... http://www.yourpurebredpuppy.com/reviews/cotondetulear.html - because they has always been pets.

I don't know how much personal experience you have with Pulis, but they are not exacly dream pets. They can became a nightmare - they are very active, they bark a lot and a warning needs to be said here - this is breed that is clearly very active and can be a real problem dog. (unless you wan't the poor owners to end up at the TV -show at Cesar Millan - but the Wikipedia said they were just fine as appartment-pets...)

They are very much like the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Border_Collie A warning has to be made if we are going to make a correct article here. I have plenty of exprience in dog breeds and in Komondor and Puli too - and especially Puli and Komondor - that is why I chosed to made these articles. I know this breed very well. I understand that your book say so - that they may be keept as pets with enough exercise, but most dog book write this routinely - and reality looks a little bit different. just because they are small, they are not easy home-pets. In the United States, fewer than 150 new Puli puppies are registered each year. Your book - as far as I understand - is written by an American.

Exacly like Border Collies, the Pulis are the typically extremely energetic, acrobatic, smart and athletic, they frequently compete with great success in dog sports and sheepdog trials. They require considerable daily physical exercise and mental stimulation - it is a big mistake to say they can live in an appartment if only given some exercise - because that is not so. They can became real problem dogs, you know...

I understand thay you try to inprove the article, but we really have to try to make an article that is correct. I am little bit of an expert on dog breeds and know several people who own and breed this breed. Actually they are the kind of turbo dogs like the Border Collies - @Rus793:. Why not give me some help with the new article stubb American Cocker? I would be very thankful if you could give a hand with American Cocker Spaniel, a breed I never met and know nothing about. --Hafspajen (talk) 01:45, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sigh, @Rus793: a response ? @Fylbecatulous:, maybe a second oppinion? --Hafspajen (talk) 03:30, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Let's take this to your talk page. It may get lengthy and you have control over your talk page (archive, remove when no longer needed). Here it tends to stay. Rus793 (talk) 12:34, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Status update[change source]

With everyones' good edits and copyedits and addition of references, I think this article looks good now. Thanks one and all. It reads nicely with good images. I have marked it as patrolled. I just added some wikilinks to the text as it is written now. All the best. Fylbecatulous talk 13:43, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
