Wording[change source]

It seems like the victim forces the attacker into having intercourse with him/her. Could anybody fix this?

-- perhaps a course of counselling? Seriously, though - made some changes. Needs some work but clearer at least.

Several pages deleted[change source]

It seems that a large portion of this page, along with related pages (such as sexual assault and rape kit have been removed from the system. Also, my account (which I had used to edit these pages a few days ago) was also deleted - I reestablished the account with the same information. Does anyone know what is going on?

That's odd, there is no record whatsoever of anything like that having been deleted from the system. If there were, I would be able to see it, as an admin. Also, what was the name of the account you say was "deleted"? Blockinblox 02:51, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm, perhaps you are lost. It looks like you were editing here the other day. This is an entirely different wiki. Welcome to Simple! Blockinblox 03:01, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing this page[change source]

Hello, yes I know that the page as it is now, is probably too complex. It will not be easy to make it simpler. When this page is done (possibly turned into a VGA), it should be possible to answer the following questions, using it alone:

  • What is rape? (If a 14 year old has sex with a 17 year old, consenting, this may be legal. if the partner of the 14 year old is 20, it may be illegal; We need to work out the difference between sexual intercourse with an unwilling partner, from sexual intercourse with a partner unable to consent (because of age, etc); Interesting question: If the 14 and the 17 year old do bondage, is it rape? ;) )
  • Who can help, in the case of rape; what should be done
  • Who is affected by rape (various statistics)
  • Different forms of rape
  • Effects of rape (to the victim..)

Well, just ideas. --Eptalon 18:52, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Remove pic[change source]

The pic is one that was painted to titillate male viewers. It doesn't belong in the article. Let's get rid of it. Oregonian2012 (talk) 23:17, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Question on facts[change source]

I was looking at some of the (admittedly US-centric) sources on the article, and noticed that they are referencing studies that have been effectively debunked (1-in-5, rape culture, etc). I know that articles like this tend to have a certain viewpoint, so I wanted to leave a notice here that I intend on updating and replacing the poor sources with ones that have more up-to-date and correct information. If anyone has a problem with me doing that, please feel free to speak out so we can come to a consensus. Lithorien TalkChanges 14:17, 26 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
