- Because Wikipedia does not accept anything that violates copyrights. This is explained on your talk page under the Quick Deletion notice. To use information from another source that is copyrighted (most sources are), you can either obtain permission from the copyright holder or in most cases you can paraphrase what the source said. That means, put it into your own words. It has to keep the same meaning as the source and you should cite the source with an inline source citation. Does this help answer your question?
