Clean up[change source]

This article is in need of clarification and cleanup in many places. As I know nothing of the subject, I can only point out where work is needed.

Introduction[change source]

As the introduction needs to be a basic description of the entire article, certain points need to be covered in it.

  • When did this occur?
  • During a war - What war?
  • Did the 20,000 Armenians die in the war or the massacre? The sentence needs to be split to separate when it occurred from what the results were to remove this disambiguity.
  • Who was involved in this incident, in this war?

Remainder of article[change source]

  • Who is Sultanov? What side was he on?
  • Sultanov broke a temporary agreement. What was it? It is stated later in the article, but needs to be earlier. Raptis's quote should be used as the reference to the temporary agreement, not a section of it's own.
  • Who were the Azeri (and the Kurds for that matter)? It appears the city was being lived in by different ethnic groups (this should be emphasized somewhere in the background section). Are these people part of the city or were they brought in as part of Sultanov's fight. Basics and/or links are needed for these groups of people.
  • Multiple terms need to be either simplified or linked. For example: Massacre, population, temporary, strategically, "specifically mentioned the occurrence".
  • Is there any information on why this occurred? Was is just another racially/ethically-based hate crime/"cleansing" or were there military/economic/political concerns that contributed to event?

This are many of the problems I see. Hopefully they can be addressed to make this a better article overall. -- Creol(talk) 02:26, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for the help. I added some corrections and in the days I will try to clear up all the points you marked. Thanks again!Andranikpasha 08:58, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
