This article is getting really weird[change source]

New emoticons are coined every other day, especially of the "Oriental" vertical kind. Do we really need a list? sonia♫♪ 08:39, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Here is five pages of smiley faces. So I don't think it will ever be a complete list. Perhaps link a page listing examples of emoticons and just remove the list as it already shows a few examples in the emoticon section. wiooiw (talk) 09:10, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's what I would do. sonia♫♪ 09:59, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oversimplification[change source]

It seems to me that this article leaves out too much of the full (non-Simple English) article. This goes beyond simplifying the language and content, to where it becomes misleading and factually incorrect. For example, it credits David Stern with inventing the Smiley Face. That has been debunked by sources such as the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and The Straight Dope, and is no longer even mentioned on the main Wikipedia article. I've corrected that, but there are numerous other changes from the main article that should be reflected here. GCL (talk) 03:25, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
