One of four[change source]

This extra bit of information may be interesting and important, but it is not simple.

In early 2000, Kawamura was one of only four Japanese-Americans who received the Medal of Honor -- see Niiya, Brian. (1993). "Munemori, Sadao," Japanese American History: An A-To-Z Reference from 1868 to the Present, p. 241.
  1. Sadao Munemori
  2. Hiroshi Miyamura
  3. Rodney Yano
  4. Terry Kawamura
In the 1990s, there was a review of service records of Asian Americans who received the DSC during World War II. Twenty-two DSC medals were upgraded to the Medal of Honor in a ceremony at the White House on June 21, 2000, but only seven of them were still alive see "21 Asian American World War II Vets to Get Medal of Honor" at University of Hawaii Digital History.

Perhaps this may be added at some point in the future. --Ansei (talk) 15:20, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
