Tammy Lee Grimes (30 January 1934 – 30 October 2016) was an American actress.[1] She starred in and won a Tony Award for a 1960 play called The Unsinkable Molly Brown.[2] She also starred in her own television show The Tammy Grimes Show in 1966.[3]

Grimes was born in Lynn, Massachusetts.[1] She studied at Stephens College. Grimes was briefly married to actor Christopher Plummer from 1956 until they divorced in 1960.

Grimes died on October 30, 2016 at a hospital in Englewood, New Jersey, aged 82.[4]
