Template documentation

Usage

This template is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.

It is used by the template {{Lang}} with language code af to include articles in Category:Articles containing Afrikaans-language text. For example: {{Lang |af |some text in Afrikaans}}, which wraps the text with <span lang="af">. Also available is {{Lang-af |some text in Afrikaans}} which displays as Afrikaans: some text in Afrikaans.

It is used by {{af icon}} and {{Link language|af}} to display the language of an external link. These templates could add articles to Category:Articles with Afrikaans-language external links, if the category was created (using {{Non-English-language external links category |code=af |name=Afrikaans}}).
