Usage
Template:ISO 639 name arz is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code arz, for example: {{Translated page |arz |name of page at Egyptian Spoken Arabic Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Egyptian Spoken Arabic Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Egyptian Spoken Arabic Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |arz}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|arz| some text in Egyptian Spoken Arabic}} wraps the text with <span lang="arz"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code arz to include articles in Category:Articles containing Egyptian Spoken Arabic-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Egyptian Spoken Arabic |arz}}). Also available is {{Lang-arz |some text in Egyptian Spoken Arabic}} which displays as Egyptian Arabic: some text in Egyptian Spoken Arabic.
- {{R from other language|arz|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Egyptian Spoken Arabic-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|arz}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Egyptian Spoken Arabic-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
