Usage

This template is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.

It is used by the template {{Lang}} with language code en to include articles in Category:Articles containing explicitly cited English-language text. For example: {{Lang |en |some text in explicitly cited English}}, which wraps the text with <span lang="en">. Also available is {{Lang-en |some text in explicitly cited English}} which displays as English: some text in explicitly cited English.

It is used by {{en icon}} and {{Link language|en}} to display the language of an external link. These templates could add articles to Category:Articles with explicitly cited English-language external links, if the category was created (using {{Non-English-language external links category |code=en |name=explicitly cited English}}).
