Usage
Template:ISO 639 name ny is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code ny, for example: {{Translated page |ny |name of page at Chichewa Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Chichewa Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Chichewa Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |ny}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|ny| some text in Chichewa}} wraps the text with <span lang="ny"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Chichewa-language text.
- {{R from other language|ny|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Chichewa-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|ny}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Chichewa-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
