Usage
Template:ISO 639 name scn is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code scn, for example: {{Translated page |scn |name of page at Sicilian Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Sicilian Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Sicilian Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |scn}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|scn| some text in Sicilian}} wraps the text with <span lang="scn"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Sicilian-language text. Also available is {{Lang-scn |some text in Sicilian}} which displays as Sicilian: some text in Sicilian.
- {{R from other language|scn|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Sicilian-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|scn}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Sicilian-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
