Template:ISO 639 name sm
Samoan
Usage
Template:ISO 639 name sm is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code sm, for example: {{Translated page |sm |name of page at Samoan Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Samoan Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Samoan Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |sm}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|sm| some text in Samoan}} wraps the text with <span lang="sm"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Samoan-language text. Also available is {{Lang-sm |some text in Samoan}} which displays as Samoan: some text in Samoan.
- {{R from other language|sm|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Samoan-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|sm}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Samoan-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
