Usage
Template:ISO 639 name vec is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code vec, for example: {{Translated page |vec |name of page at Venetian Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Venetian Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Venetian Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |vec}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|vec| some text in Venetian}} wraps the text with <span lang="vec"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Venetian-language text. Also available is {{Lang-vec |some text in Venetian}} which displays as Venetian: some text in Venetian.
- {{R from other language|vec|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Venetian-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|vec}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Venetian-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
