All parameters are optional.

  • {{{competition}}} — The commonly-used name of the competition (including sponsorship). If this is omitted, it will be automatically derived from the article title.
  • {{{dates}}} — The dates of the first and last matches played in the season, separated by an endash
  • {{{winners}}} — Champions
  • {{{mlscup}}} — MLS Cup winners. Note that this supersedes the {{{winners}}} field.
  • {{{shieldtitle}}} — The name of the title given to the regular season winners if not "Supporters' Shield" (where applicable)
  • {{{shield}}} — Supporters' Shield winners (where applicable)
  • {{{promoted}}} — promoted (if any)
  • {{{relegated}}} — relegated (if any)
  • {{{continentalcup1}}} — Continental cup1, e.g., Champions League
  • {{{continentalcup1 qualifiers}}} — Continental cup1 qualifiers
  • {{{matches}}} — Total number of matches played
  • {{{total goals}}} — Total number of goals scored. Works with *{{{matches}}} to provide average goals scored.
  • {{{average goals}}} — Manual input of average goals scored. Round to 2 decimal places.
  • {{{league topscorer}}} — The name of the top scorer in the domestic league level, and the number of scored goals, in the form "Footballer (goals)".
  • {{{best goalkeeper}}} — The name of the best goalkeeper in the domestic league level, and the number of clean sheets or goals-to-games ratio, in the form "Goalkeeper (clean sheets/goals-to-games ratio)".

Note: If dates are to be added to the matches, these must be accompanied by a source containing the date of the match.
