Usage

This tempate is used, in the External links section of an article, to provide a link to the English Heritage — Images of England site for a specified listed building or object in England. The site was set up to record only those buildings listed in England at the turn of the millennium. Newer listings are not added.

• The first parameter is the Images of England building number (found by searching the Images of England Site, free registration needed).

• The second parameter, if specified, can be used to add additional text to the boilerplate description of the link, preferably starting with a hyphen and space, which is useful if there are several listed objects in an article. e.g.:

*{{IoE|216781}}

expanding to:

• Images of England — details from listed building database (216781)

*{{IoE|216781|- gateway (Grade II)}}

expanding to:

• Images of England — details from listed building database (216781) - gateway (Grade II)
