Template:Not watching/doc

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usage[change source]

This template was created for talk pages, to let a user know that you are not watching the page. This is designed to assist editors who want to be kept informed on specific discussions without having to watch pages that are frequently updated (such as noticeboards). Ideally, this is used only on the first message of a conversation that a user leaves for another user, to instruct the receiving user how to solicit a response from the first editor.

Examples[change source]

  • Typing: What do you think of the article? {{Not watching}} ~~~~
will yield: What do you think of the article? (I am not watching this page, so please ping me if you want my attention.) Example (talk) 06:27, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
