This subtemplate of {{Periodic table (32 columns, micro)}} generates a single rectangular entry (cell) for a "micro" (very small) periodic table.

Usage[change source]

{{NavPeriodicTable/Elementcell
 | number=94
 | name=Plutonium
 | category=
 | mark=
 | symbol=Pu
}}
number
The (integer) atomic number of the element, in plain text.
name
Provide the name of the element in plain text.
category

This is the chemical series description. It recognizes input from a limited list, see below. This input is used to set the background color, and is shown in the title (tooltip) for each cell. The word unknown is recognized (showing a grey background).

When the |category= input is not recognised (not in this list), it will return a black cell.

The input is case-insensitive (A=a).

| alkaline metal
| alkaline earth metal
| lanthanide
| actinide
| transition metal
| post-transition metal
| metalloid
| reactive nonmetal
| noble gas
| unknown <!-- note: "unknown" is recognised (defined) separately from default -->
| #default <!-- note: input not recognised, so probably an error-situation, will return a black bg color -->
symbol
|symbol== is not used.
