To indicate a deliberate typo in the wikicode of page.

The wikicode:

This word is not spelled {{Typo|egsessive}}.

renders: This word is not spelled egsessive.

There is also a facility to split the quoted text in two ({{Typo|egses|sive}}), mirroring that of {{Sic}}; this is to provide additional protection against automated edits, and should not not normally be necessary.

This is for non-quotes. For quotes, use {{Sic}}.
